![]() Also applies a spirit debuff to nearby enemies, afflicting them with a swarm of spectral crows, reducing their physical damage mitigation by an amount based on the number of enemy players present. Provides a spirit buff to nearby allies, infusing them with the power of a spectral bull which increases their damage with weapon attacks by an amount spread among the allied players present. The game will also have a player-driven economy, with players able to craft and trade items with each other. Players will be able to build with the C.U.B.E system. The eighth archetype reveal has just concluded from City State Entertainment for upcoming Tri-Realm PvP MMORPG, Camelot Unchained. Summons a number of spectral crows that fly toward nearby enemy players, attacking them and causing a high amount of panic. Camelot Unchained utilizes a unique C.U.B.E system for building, allowing players to build complex structures. Summons a spectral pet at the location of the caster that travels directly toward the target, affecting any other targets it passes through along the way.Ĭreates a portal to the current location of a target, projecting a short duration spectral pet through the portal to the target’s location. Bulls gain a spirit buff that shares the damage they take between each bull present. Crows gain a spirit buff that provides increased movement speed and health stealing, when penetrating the target’s armor for each additional crow beyond the first that attacks the same target.Ī large pet with high health that slams the target, dealing high disruption damage. If I were you, I'd play the Arthurian stealther, as it is the most burst damage focused out of them all (TDD is bleeds/blood drain and Viking one is debuff/utility focused), should be fairly mobile, and squishy.A fast-moving pet that tears at the target, dealing slashing damage. Your best bet is the shapeshifter class (not TDD), but it's been announced to be a post-release class so who knows how long you'll have to wait. All other classes are implied to have high amounts of utility, tankieness, or healing, which makes them unlikely to contend for the highest damage output. They believe their wolves are an extension of their own selves, and that wolves who die in battle will be reunited with them in Valhalla. Mages - obviously you asked for melee classes so that's out Class Reveal Spirit Mages Camelot Unchained US Spirit Mages Slaughterwolf Background Slaughterwolves bear a love for their wolves only exceeded by their love of slaughter. Looks like CU won't be following wow-style rogue design paradigm as it's very toxic for every other class that isn't rogue. However, they do have some fairly substantial utility, so who knows how much DPS they are going to be putting out. Stealthers - an obvious candidate for glass cannon burst damage melee class (especially the Arthurian one), so you should really consider playing it, provided they are guaranteed to be in game on release and shifters aren't. It's likely this class will be as DPS focused as it gets. Shapeshifters - basically shapeshifters are marketed as a class entirely focused on DPS, with many ways to deliver it based on their chosen transformations. TDD archer might be more utility-focused, and viking archer is marketed as close range, but not as a glass cannon (it has a shield and weapon switching to a melee set so above average survivability is implied). Well, out of all of the classes, the following ones should be more focused on damage as opposed to utility:Īrchers - obviously not melee, but both Viking and Arthurian archers don't seem to have any utility to speak of, so they are likely to deal high damage. But if you expect you’ll be mostly flying solo, you might not have fun playing a Skald, even if the DPS is higher. For example, the Skald will probably be a capable enough fighter on his own, the power of the Skald is in the group-they effectively multiply the Skald’s song across every fighter in the group. ![]() The question really should be, “what would be fun to play?” More than that, what would be fun for you? It’s a game, after all. For example, one fellow beat Diablo 2 using only the most basic Sorceress skill. You will never stop chasing the latest FotM build, and there will always be someone who’ll be able to take some underrated, low-level ability and do amazing things with it. Once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny. More importantly, though, I think any search for the “best” DPS, best skill set, best template, best anything in these kinds of games is a fool’s errand. Numbers aren’t going to be relevant until Beta starts to wind down, and even then skills are always going to be subject to “adjustment”. Well, any discussion of DPS or stats or really any kind of “numbers” at this point is academic at best, and more likely useless wankery. ![]()
